Oh this was a lovely one and a special one to us as we used to live in Toowoomba! If you haven’t been to Gips, the venue is SPECTACULAR! It is located in one of Toowoomba’s most historic buildings, sophisticated dining area and a beautiful garden setting. Plus, it photograph’s extremely well! We were so lucky to be here to shoot their day via photography and videography.

Bek and Kwadwo’s day was such a fun, love filled and classy celebration of a story that has been years in the making. They first met back in 2006 through school, bonding over music and the arts, before life took them in different directions and brought them back together in 2018 (such history!). From there, their relationship grew into something really solid and genuine, and seeing it all come full circle on their wedding day felt super lovely. They both got ready just across the road from each other on Russel Street before heading to their ceremony at Gips, where they met down the aisle and shared the sweetest kiss!

What stood out most about these two is how grounded and family focused they are. Both working in the same busy operating theatre, they share such a strong understanding of each other’s world, and that calm, bonded energy carried through the whole day. At home they’ve already built a beautiful life with their two girls, their puppy Teddy and their cat Rasputin, and with a baby on the way, there was this extra layer of excitement woven into everything. They kept the day relaxed and timeless with a beautiful venue and choosing to be present with their people rather than overdoing anything,.

The reception kicked off with their entrance, first dance and cake cutting, then rolled into speeches, dinner, and the most fun dance floor. Kwadwo and his brothers absolutely brought the energy and had everyone up and going. It was one of those days that felt effortlessly happy from start to finish, a perfect reflection of who they are and the life they have created together, with so much ahead of them.
