We LOVE Ancora! Not because it is 10 minutes from our house but because it is absolutely breathtaking, surrounded by bougainvillea, has mediterranean-inspired interiors and an uninterrupted waterfront view. Laura and Trev chose to celebrate their wedding in a way that felt relaxed, meaningful and completely their own. After getting married earlier in the week in Queenstown, they returned home to Tweed Heads to gather their favourite people for a wedding reception at Ancora.

They booked a 5-hour photography package with us, focusing solely on their reception which included their portrait session, family photos and fitting in as much of a wedding day as possible. Proof that you don’t need to have the ceremony on the day to get amazing candid photographs.

From there, the celebration unfolded effortlessly. Drinks flowed, laughter filled the beautifully styled space, and a fun bingo-style icebreaker encouraged guests to chat and mingle. One of the standout moments was the champagne tower poured overlooking the water… One of Ancora’s many lovely inclusions which is elegant, celebratory and such a perfect reflection of the night’s energy. Heartfelt speeches followed, bringing a mix of laughter, emotion and cowboy hats, as friends and family shared stories and love for Laura and Trev.

The evening wrapped up with an epic sparkler exit, surrounded by the people who mean the most to them… a lovely, glowing end to a reception that was all about fun times and celebration.
