Tess and Brent’s wedding was such a relaxed and genuine day and these two are seriously awesome. From the first phone call we knew we would get along with them amazingly well. They planned a fully vegan wedding which felt really true to who they are. Everything was simple and thoughtful, even down to the snacks they brought for portraits which we loved for their bridal party of 10. The whole day felt easy, just spending time with their 57 guests and enjoying each moment without too much rush to get to the next part of the timeline.

Their ceremony was held at Rowan Robinson Park which is the little grassy patch across from Babalou which is commonly used as the venues “outdoor” ceremony space. Babalou’s reception area is always a backup wet weather option which always puts us at ease. Tess and Brent tied the knot under the sun before heading over to the Kingscliff beach and seawall for portraits with their bridal party.

They really wanted candid photos and just to capture the feeling of the day as it unfolded. There was so much laughter, champagne pops and tears (see Tess’s dad’s reaction and Brent’s reaction) and it all felt very natural.
